“I took hardly any pain medication at all post-surgery; just a few days of Tylenol and nothing else. Honestly, this was remarkable after a major surgery and made me happy!” Ann (44)
What prompted you to seek help?
I had major surgery scheduled, a mastectomy, and wanted to go into surgery in tip-top shape so that my recovery would be easier. Knowing what I know, I wanted to have all of my lymphatic system flowing properly before surgery because I knew it would help speed the recovery. I also had some anxiety leading up to the surgery and I thought Bridging® work would help with some calming effects, so I could go into surgery with a good frame of mind.
What unique insight did Kinetic Konnections have?
The specialists at Kinetic Konnections helped me in two ways I wouldn’t have anticipated.
- The first was they worked on restoring my head and neck movement relationships. These were disrupted after being intubated for so long during the surgery. After the surgery I felt like my neck was collapsed to one side and my spine felt asymmetrical. The forced mechanical breathing affected my overall breathing ease as well. Having this worked on just helped me to move better overall and reintegrated my natural diaphragmatic breathing after the surgery, which greatly sped up my recovery. These movements made a huge difference!
- The second thing Bridging helped me with was around the surgical site itself. They worked on restoring subtle movements near the incision. This supported the lymphatic flows, which decreased the chance of swelling and complications. I did really well with this work.I took hardly any pain medication at all post-surgery; just a few days of Tylenol and nothing else. Honestly, this was remarkable after a major surgery and made me happy!
I did see some other side benefits as well. Within a day or two of surgery I was dressed and up and about. People came to visit me after the surgery and were shocked at how active I was. The work at Kinetic Konnections helped clear the anesthesia out of my system quickly which gave me my energy level back, so I was feeling good.
I would definitely recommend Bridging work post-surgery for everyone and anyone.
